Pie carrier Pattern

Materials:
Size L/8 mm hook
Two colors (your choice) worsted weight yarn.

This pattern is intended for one 9" round pan.

Note: This project will be double-stranded (using two yarns as one) the entire way through.

Ch3, 8dc in first ch. Join.
R1: Ch3, dc same st., 2dc ea. st. around. Join.
R2: Ch3, dc same st., 1dc next st., *2dc next st., 1dc next st* ea. st. around. Join.
R3: Ch3, dc same st., 1dc next 2 st., *2dc next st., 1dc next 2 st* ea. st. around. Join.
R4: Ch3, dc same st., 1dc next 3 st., *2dc next st., 1dc next 3 st* ea. st. around. Join.
R5: Ch3, dc same st., 1dc next 4 st., *2dc next st., 1dc next 4 st* ea. st. around. Join.
R6: Ch3, 1dc ea. st. around. Join.
R7: Ch3, dc same st., 1dc next 5 st., *2dc next st., 1dc nest 5 st* ea. st. around. Join.
Handle
R8: Ch1, sc same st., 1sc next 6 st., ch10, skip next 10 st., 1sc next 6 st. Turn.
R9: Ch3, 1dc in every sc and ch., Turn.
R10: Sl st. twice, Ch3 (counts as first dc), 1dc next 19 st., Turn. (There should be one decrease on each side of the row. This will continue every dc row after.)
R11: Sl st. twice, Ch3 (counts as first dc), 1dc next 17 st., Turn.
R12: Sl st. twice, Ch3 (counts as first dc), 1dc next 15 st., Turn.
R13: Sl st. twice, Ch3 (counts as first dc), 1dc next 13 st., Turn.
R14: Sl st. twice, Ch3 (counts as first dc), 1dc next 11 st., Turn.
R15: Ch1, 1sc next 2 st., Ch7, skip next 8st., 1sc next 2 st. Turn.
R16: Sl st. twice, Ch3 (counts as first dc), 1dc next 9st., Finish off.
Count 10 st. from bottom of handle, Join and rep. R8-16
Finishing:
Sc around all outside edges (not including slits for pie and handles).

This patterns hasn't been tested, so if you find mistakes let me know!
