  1. No points here. But I do find Guy Fawkes interesting...in a "the government pisses me off so much I have to blow it up" way. Lol. Interesting too, that his attempt is still celebrated.

  2. Actually, little known tidbit that history covers up--Guy Fawkes didn't really give a shit. He was a mercenary, pure and simple, and he had been hired by some nobles (can't remember who for the life of me--should ask my history major friend again) to blow it up for them. That way the nobles have a nice scapegoat that can't be traced back to them. The more popular story is yours though, certainly.
